Rotary Christmas Party plus Melbourne...

Some more pictures from Rob's visit to appease my dear mother. These are from the Rotary Christmas party and from Rob's and mine trip to Melbourne.

Me in my sweet new Driza-bone hat.

The kid's table at the party. We drew on our crowns from the crackers. Mine sported a maple leaf and said "Exchange Student" on it.

Sarah, her sister Kate, and her brother Michael after Christmas dinner in Leongatha. Apparently around five o'clock is when the food catches up to you.

Some impressive train station in Melbourne. Apparently it's quite famous.

Me, Sarah, and Rob. 'Twas a good Christmas.

I had my first Central Coast experience over the weekend. Colin and Lyn took me to their holiday house at Macmasters beach. I spent four days on the beach whilst Canadians back home froze. Sweet, sweet justice. And not only did I not get sunburned, I even gained a tan (an Elizabeth tan mind you, but a tan none the less)

Words I feel I over use: Apparently and quite.

Quote of the day (from Melbourne Comedy Gala): 'Every fight is a food fight when you're a cannibal.'

Thursday is pancake party! :)

I didn't get a thong tan but I did get a bit of sunburn on my feet. Now if I had been wearing shoes, that never would have happened. but noooo, I have to wear thongs and fit in with all the Aussies.

just read your response on my blog Lize. I don't know, after 6 months you may have a bit of feelings towards Australia. I'm not sure thought, I don't think you have ever once mentioned wether or not your having fun in Australia. haha. And hey, your 18. If you want to move to Australia there is nothing stopping you.

SASKATOON'S HAVING A BLIZZARD. It's like...biblical in size, rob knows what I'm taking about. They closed parts of the school today and I may not have to go tomorrow...bwahaha

Why do I want to move to Australia??? For this very reason!!! It's a white out. School is cancelled all over the city, we got sent home. You can see 20 feet ahead of you and that's it. I can't see across the street out my front window. Every road in and out of Saskatoon is closed, the airport is closed, and traffic is moving around the city at 20 kilometers per hour. Seriously, go to some Saskatoon websites and look at the pictures/videos. This is the worst storm I have ever seen in my life. We won't have school tomorrow for sure and I seriously doubt we will have school on Friday as well.

WOO HOO For the snow days!! (that would be embarrasing if you didnt actually call them that!! *Gulp*) anywho, rob, instead of trying to break the housing market (you have to pay HEAPS to get a crappy little house) why dont u get your parents to move here and come down a few months later!!

Have fun all

weyburn missed the storm but its bloody cold here...-42 windchill or something so be glad its summer there...they're calling this storm the worst in 55 years so even my parents havent seen a storm this bad...not that weyburn will see the storm because its too north for us...on a brighter note i got my passport pictures and a bad bang cut...you think people would cut straight for 21 dollars but not really...gah

Any of you Aussies sweltering in the +40, check out the photos Rob mentions. Better yet, watch the videos because then you get the sound of the howling wind too.

Dearest, Elizabeth, if you are bored in an air-conditioned house on a hot day, wouldn't it then be a good time to add more photos to your blog?

Definitly a Canadian dominated comments page here.

Anyways, some Aussie news from Canada for you Aussies. The Aussie basketball team that is here in Saskatoon (Scots Boys College from somewhere in Sydney) finally made it to Saskatoon this morning and they won their first game of the tournament 47-46. (Yes mom, the coach did recognize me as the guy from the plane)

Rob, stop spamming. Seriously, I know you love Australia but I have like six comments from you on this post. You're a good brother but you must focus on passing your course so you can actually move to Australia eventually.

I don't spam!!! I am hurt and aghast by that comment. If I was spamming your comments board I would be posting pointless comments that were only one or two words long.

i thought it was universally acknowledged that rob spammed- isn't it juat part of him? like his oversized ego or the fact that he is rob?
yeah, pancake party rocked the house- despite liz and erin eating them incorrectly
so yeah canadians- while your in freak snowstorms of coldness- we are having days of unexplicable hotness, where you start sweating just from getting up out of your chair- and there is little use showering cause you'll just get gross again really soon (at least its better than brisbane where is you shower you just never dry cause its so humid)(that really sucks)

i love my air conditioned house
