International Night...

Man yesterday was a good day. I got 25/30 on the English half yearly (ranked 26th) and I am definitely doing something for "Cabaret" at Hornsby RSL (Which has a very wicked lighting set up). After school Ed, Julz, Wei, Anthony, Stephan and I went for coffee. We discussed the merits of getting a "lah-tey" and I got even more back story on this lovely group of people I call my friends. Then I was late for getting to Hornsby (because I drinking my coffee you see), but it didn't really matter. International night went really well. We had to freeze in some awkward positions on stage but it was still hilarious. And thus my pictures (but they don't show the awkward positions)...

Vadim. This kid is a mad dog, but I may never see him again since he leaves May 9th (Stupid Russia)
OK, this is from the ANZAC day parade and is off topic. However, people in Weyburn THIS IS A SCHOOL UNIFORM!!! This is the King's School and they seriously have to wear these everyday. So bloody funny (to me anyways)

Then after international night a couple of us just hung out for a couple of hours discussing the meaning of our exchanges (and various other deep conversations)

And here I am today. Candace gets here in a week! Yay!!! I totally have plans.

WEI!!!! If you're having a Rent party I am inviting myself. Rent is the most awesome movie ever (notice the seriousness in my lack of good grammar)

SAFARI!!!!...

SAFARI PICTURES!!!!! They are totally out of order, and mainly backwards (like geographically, the way my trip went) 'cause that's the way I posted them, but still... we should just be happy I got all of these up.

1. Me at the giant pineapple in Queensland
2. Fritz, Julie Julie, and I eating the most delicious chocolate in Surfers
3. Eastern-most point in Australia
4. How cute is now in Kirk's hat?
5. Tent buddy Natalia and me in front of our tent on the last day.

1. Me over the Tropic of Capricorn
2. Anne, Maggie, and Jonny at the geographical centre of Australia
3. That's totally a python going 'round our shoulders
4. Canadians at Devil's Marbles
5. Perv picture for the boys (Dory, Maggie, Julie Julie, and Rebekka)

1. People looking into Kings Canyon
2. The view they were getting
3. Technology corner.. seriously between cameras, mobiles, and iPods we were way too dependant on technology. Sometimes it looked worse than this. I am proud to say I only used a powerpoint twice in 3 weeks
4. Kata Tjuta reflected in Maggie's sunnies
5. Hilda during a vegemite punishment (she shouldn't've chewed that gum on the bus)

1. Julie Julie and I at Kulgera, NT
2. Bush Camp (Best night ever!)
3. Hilda, Maggie, Ash (pilot), and I ready for our helicopter ride
4. Uluru from air
5. Rebekka and I in front of Uluru

1. Perv picture for the ladies (Kirkland, Rasa, Steph, Fritz)
2. Theresa and Senni in front of the Palace Hotel in Broken Hill (think Priscilla Queen of the Desert)
3. Canadians in our fly nets at a salt lake bed.
4. Sunset at Coober Pedy
5. Maggie and Senni in our bunkhouse at Coober Pedy underground.
So basically this was the most amazing trip ever. Three weeks is a little intense to be with the same thirty people so sometimes I was like "So want to strangle you" but all in all it was fantastic! And when I got into strangling mode I just simply called up my dear Carlo people (or attempted to but was told their phone was out of service ELLIE!!!!)
So yeah, loved it but am happy to be home. In a real bed. With different clothes. And warm showers. And not sandwiches for lunch (what can I say? I'm a camping girl but I do love my bed)
Today's quote: "Could you all please keep your nipples in your singlet? Thanks." (Doug's a champ!)

:D...

Today, in spite of wearing sunscreen, I got a slight sunburn across my nose.

Why?

Because after spending over an hour on an ocean raft I spent two hours swimming and hanging out on the whitest white sand beach ever before snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef for an hour.

This was one of the best days of my life.. and my most worthwhile sunburn ever :D

Yay! Internet Connection...

Told you guys I'd find one. So basically I just took a helicopter ride over Uluru. How mad is that? It's been a lot of bus time. And interesting night liast night with our bush camp (think a couple of boys streaking) And Carlo people, 'twas not the Great Aussie Bush camp, but actually us just sleeping outside on the ground in one big heap. So much fun.

Must go find something else to do.

Love you all!
